In 1961, a strange and bewildering event unfolded in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles. Reports flooded the local police station about a peculiar creature roaming the streets, captivating the community’s attention. Descriptions of the creature portrayed it as a hybrid of a dog and a woman, with a canine body and a human face.
One eyewitness story, recounted to a blogger, details an encounter with a creature that had a shuffling walk, but who ignored two adults and a child. The same witness went on to tell the writer about a rumor that the creature had spoken to a pimp in the area, and that pimp was later found stabbed to death. Amid various theories the blogger proposed was one that suggested that the creature was perhaps some kind of spirit petitioned to avenge people who were wronged.
